Visitation To Binh Dinh’s First Solar Plant

On December 5th, 2019, Mrs. Ta Thi Thanh Thanh, VENERIA’s Business Development Manager along with experts, visited and conducted a drone inspection at Cat Hiep solar plant in Binh Dinh. With a designed capacity of 49.5MW, Cat Hiep plant is the first of its kind in the south-central coastal province to join the national grid.

To manage the plant’s capacity effectively while keeping the costs to a minimum, we needed to understand its operating mechanisms and come up with an ideal methodology to optimize its efficiency.

Throughout the visit, we managed to achieve two significant results that were necessary to the goal above. First of all, the tour was our chance to have a detailed look into the plant’s supervisory control and data acquisition system, or SCADA. Based on this understanding, our experts can now access SCADA to retrieve data, analyze information, detect errors, and design on-time solutions, saving the plant a considerable amount of time and expense.

Despite the undesirable weather, our experts also managed to complete the drone inspection and apply the thermal sensors to collect high-quality visuals as a means to produce analysis reports of the highest accuracy.
